On my start-of-the-years questionnaires, about half of the students indicated that they have Filipina helpers who live with them.Three of my students –one of them an only child- said that their family employed two full-time, live-in helpers. One student –when asked who lived at their home- listed three helpers and a driver.
Please bear in mind that our students are probably not representative of the population of Hong Kong as a whole.
